William H. Barrett Jr. founded Barrett Turbine Engine Company in 1995 to provide quality spare parts and consulting services at competitive prices to operators of Honeywell TFE731 engines. His goal was to stock and to have available the largest independently owned inventory of TFE731 engines and spares in order to give customers the greatest degree of flexibility as they worked toward the best possible benefit for the lowest possible cost.
